Description

Sadam is a rural hamlet in South Sikkim district of Indian state of Sikkim. Sadam village located around 5,500 ft. above sea level and about 18 kms away from district head quarter Namtse or Namchi (meaning Sky High). ‘Tarey Bhir’ is one of the most attractive points of attraction for people who adore natural thrill in Sadam.


The word ‘Bhir’ means cliff in the local Nepali language, length is around 10,000 ft. with a breathtaking view at the edge from where you can get spectacular views of the river valleys bellow, the lush green forest coverage, panoramic view of the confluence of the two rivers of Sikkim Teesta and Rangeet. In Tarey Bhir there is a path made along the top of the ridge that makes it look like some kind of mini China Wall.
